Through his work, designer Joel Hoff aims to inspire people to own fewer things of greater quality that last longer. His Turn On Table Lamp (2014) won him the 2014 HAY Talent Award. This clever lamp comprises a spherical opal glass diffuser perched atop a faceted aluminum cylinder that serves as a rotating dimmer switch – just rotate the base to turn the light on and adjust brightness.
