Designed by prolific Danish master Finn Juhl for Baker Furniture in 1951, the Cocktail Table was created to match the shape of Juhl’s Baker Sofa, for which he posthumously won a “Best Reissue” award in 2010. Juhl famously approached furniture design through the lens of a sculptor, creating human-centric pieces that quickly became icons of the midcentury movement. Juhl’s Cocktail Table is an iteration of his earlier eye-shaped table. Made in Denmark.

Finn Juhl

When you look at the graceful shapes and sensual curves of Finn Juhl’s work, you may be shocked to realize that he designed these pieces 60 to 70 years ago. A pioneering force in his own country, Finn Juhl is also credited, along with fellow Danes Arne Jacobsen, Hans Wegner, Borge Mogensen and Poul Kjaerholm, with introducing Danish modern to midcentury America.
