Designed by prolific Danish master Finn Juhl, the Cocktail Bench takes design cues from Juhl’s Cocktail Table, featuring a recessed surface with a subtle lip that opens at each corner. Juhl famously approached furniture design through the lens of a sculptor, creating human-centric pieces that quickly became icons of the midcentury movement. The Cocktail Bench can be found among equally iconic furnishings in Juhl’s Denmark home, which is now part of the Danish museum Ordrupgaard. Made in Denmark.

Finn Juhl

When you look at the graceful shapes and sensual curves of Finn Juhl’s work, you may be shocked to realize that he designed these pieces 60 to 70 years ago. A pioneering force in his own country, Finn Juhl is also credited, along with fellow Danes Arne Jacobsen, Hans Wegner, Borge Mogensen and Poul Kjaerholm, with introducing Danish modern to midcentury America.
